How to change your Linux Distro (Ubuntu/Linuxmint) to Windows 7

To install Windows themes in Ubuntu/Linux Mint open Terminal (Press Ctrl+Alt+T) and copy the following commands in the Terminal:


Terminal Commands:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:noobslab/themes
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install win-themes

To install Windows icons in Ubuntu/Linux Mint open Terminal (Press Ctrl+Alt+T) and copy the following commands in the Terminal:


Terminal Commands:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:noobslab/icons
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install win-icons


Run updates:


Click in the “Shield” icon on the image below and update all







Change icons


Change menu icom

  1. Right menu, select configure:

  • Change text from “ Menu” to “ Start”

  • Change icon by going to the following location:

    /usr/share/icons/Win7-icons/filesystems/start-here.png
