To Remote to destination computer:

  1. Open Remote Desktop Connection, click the Start button Picture of the Start button. In the search box, type "Remote Desktop Connection", and then, in the list of results, click "Remote Desktop Connection".

  2. In the Computer box, type the name or IP of the computer that you want to connect to, and then click "Connect".

  3. If the computer name or IP is correct, and if your remote machine has been enabled for Remote Desktop, you should be prompted for a user name and password.
  4. Once you connect successfully, you can save your Remote Desktop Connection.  Click on File, save as, and save the file as needed. You can also redirect local devices and resources, such as your local drives or Clipboard. Click "Details", and then select the check box for each item you want to redirect.
